Board of Directors

BOARD OF DIRECTORS, 2017

A new picture will be available soon. In the meantime, please read about our retired, continuing, and new board members.

The Quad City Times Plus 60 Friendship Club has three new board members, Sandi Frericks, Dave Fuller and Lou Twillman. We welcome them and bid farewell to Frank Bockman, Judy Koehler and Pat Marble who served on the board outstandingly for six years each. The new board members join present board members Sharon Brooks (Bettendorf), Kathy Michel (Milan), Larry Minard (Davenport), Kim Nelson (Davenport), Jolane Otto (Bettendorf), Sherry Roberts (Walcott), Nancy Rudnick (Davenport), Connie Williams (Davenport) and Bill Wohlford (Bettendorf). Together we will offer the Quad Cities area more and better activities to provide an active lifestyle for those 55 and over.

Sandi hails from Blue Grass, Iowa and has been active in Blue Grass city government, RSVP, Genesis Befrienders, and the Catholic Service board. She brings lots of experience to the board and wants to help plan fun activities and educational programs.

Dave Fuller from Davenport, Iowa, is a familiar face in the community because he has been involved as a volunteer in many local events, such as Bix 7, Ride the River and Festival of Trees. He enjoys meeting new people, attending events, traveling and helping people who want to try new things. He has some new ideas and wants to work to keep the Plus 60 club creative.

Lou Twillman lives in Bettendorf and has been involved with the American Legion, VFW and helping families who have lost loved ones. He applied for the board because he wants to help out any way he can.

Plus 60 will be seeking two new board members for 2018. Interested members of the club are invited to submit applications for these seats on the board. Please contact Sherry Roberts at 563-340-9653 or sherryhirlroberts@gmail.com for applications.

Plus 60 Club Seeks New Board Member

Are you 55 or older or will be in 2018, and looking for an exciting and adventurous volunteer experience? Then the QCT Plus 60 Club Board of directors is looking for you.

Our board term is three years beginning January 1. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. We will have two board vacancies for 2018.

The Plus 60 board plans, oversees and administer our many activities including dances, an annual picnic, a day at the River Bandits ballgame, a dinner cruise on the Celebration Belle River Boat, and a two-day Fall River Cruise on the riverboat Twilight, just to name a few of our local events. In addition, our travel committee plans and organizes multi-day bus adventures and travel to all part of the United States and abroad.

Serving on the 12-member board is a rewarding and satisfying experience for those who are recently retired from their full-time work position. Still employed, you will also find the opportunity to transition to other interests.

Our motto is “Serving those 55 and older”. We accomplish this lofty goal by planning the activities mentioned above and many more, such as an annual walk, a bike ride, two golf outings, a senior day at the Festival of Trees, art exhibits, and much more.

Come join us! Be part of our board and bring your new ideas and enthusiasm.   An application is available on our web site at www.qctimes.info/plus60
