Plus 60 Club Seeks New Board Member
Are you 55 or older or will be in 2018, and looking for an exciting and adventurous volunteer experience? Then the QCT Plus 60 Club Board of directors is looking for you.
Our board term is three years beginning January 1. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month. We will have two board vacancies for 2018.
The Plus 60 board plans, oversees and administer our many activities including dances, an annual picnic, a day at the River Bandits ballgame, a dinner cruise on the Celebration Belle River Boat, and a two-day Fall River Cruise on the riverboat Twilight, just to name a few of our local events. In addition, our travel committee plans and organizes multi-day bus adventures and travel to all part of the United States and abroad.
Serving on the 12-member board is a rewarding and satisfying experience for those who are recently retired from their full-time work position. Still employed, you will also find the opportunity to transition to other interests.
Our motto is “Serving those 55 and older”. We accomplish this lofty goal by planning the activities mentioned above and many more, such as an annual walk, a bike ride, two golf outings, a senior day at the Festival of Trees, art exhibits, and much more.
Come join us! Be part of our board and bring your new ideas and enthusiasm. An application is available on our web site at www.qctimes.info/plus60
